LiveKit releases two small voice agent models and changes self-hosted pricing

AILiveKit released two small models for voice agents: turn detection, which identifies when a user has finished speaking, and adaptive interruption, which ignores backchannels such as “uh huh.” The models are free for agents on LiveKit Cloud, and self-hosted agents can now run them in production with a free development allowance followed by per-request metering. The previous monthly cap has been removed.

Two small models we trained for voice agents: turn detection knows when the user is actually done talking, adaptive interruption knows “uh huh” isn’t an interruption.

Free for agents on LiveKit Cloud. Starting today, self-hosted agents can run them in production too: a free development allowance, then metered per request. The old monthly cap is gone.
