AIJetBrains says its IDE terminal now runs on libghostty, the terminal emulation library behind Ghostty, replacing the JediTerm emulator starting with 2026.3. The change adds support for the Kitty keyboard protocol, so Shift+Enter starts a new line in prompts, and for theme-aware dark and light switching.
