OpenAI's Kevin Weil says robotic labs will drive large-scale science data

AIKevin Weil of OpenAI agrees with Dave Ricks that large-scale data collection through robotic labs will be a major part of the future of science. Ricks argues that AI can help conquer disease, but only with large amounts of data that do not yet exist, and that robotic labs will make scaling that data more practical.

I agree with @DaveARicks: large scale data collection via robotic labs will be a big part of the future of science.

Well said Vas. AI will help us conquer disease, but this will take time, effort and lots and lots of data that doesn’t exist, yet. I would add that robotic labs will begin to make scaling data more tractable. https://lnkd.in/p/g8qvP5qX
