Meta partners with five US universities on AI research funded by $2 million
AIMeta is granting $2 million across five US universities to support research using its models in medicine, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, and mathematics. Projects include Louisiana State University's Eyes-On system for detecting infant tracheostomy tube displacement, which explores Meta's open weight SAM models, and Ohio State's work on predicting heart failure risk with HFpEF from routine CT scans and medical records.
