Alibaba's Qwen joins BMW iX3 cockpit AI, built with Zebra

BMW says the new-generation BMW iX3 will carry a China-specific cockpit AI built with Alibaba on Alibaba's Qwen large model, with Zebra handling cockpit applications and vehicle integration.

The capability is integrated into the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence CTO Li Feifei said at the BMW Group China Innovation Day on October 15.

IDC data shows Alibaba Cloud held a 42% share of China's automotive public cloud IaaS market in the second half of 2025.
