Baseten releases mammoth-1 and elephant-1 open-source decision models
AIBaseten says its research lab released mammoth-1 (27B) and elephant-1 (9B), open-source decision models that return probability distributions instead of generated text. mammoth-1 scores 71.24 on the Jev Decision Index 0.4 and 65.9 on the Artificial Analysis Decision Index, while elephant-1 scores 65.2 on the latter. Both are free to try for a week on Baseten Model APIs with zero data retention by default.
