AI job losses set to rein in office demand in developed Asia-Pacific economies

CBRE says AI-driven job displacement could trim five percentage points off office space demand growth across Asia-Pacific in the next few years.

In a report released Thursday, it found 3.9% of office jobs in developed markets, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia, are vulnerable to AI displacement, compared with 1.7% in developing markets such as mainland China, India and Vietnam.
