Google DeepMind and WRI release ForTy, a global 2020 map of forest types
AIGoogle DeepMind and the World Resources Institute have built ForTy, a global map that classifies the world's land into six forest and land-use classes at 10-meter resolution for 2020. The map scored 90.2 percent overall in an expert check, but it identified only about half of tree crops and planted forests and 60 percent of plantations.
