One of my pet peeves: "An eng lead" is far from "the lead engineer"
I see this all the time. Also for example "an ai director/vp" is far from "the director/vp of ai"
A LOT of people misunderstand this. And grifters know and exploit that.
Lucas Beyer says "an eng lead" differs from "the lead engineer," and that the same gap applies to "an AI director/VP" versus "the director/VP of AI." He says grifters exploit the confusion. A quoted reply calls the poster Anthropic's lead engineer.
