Lucas Beyer says young children's unfiltered reasoning is easy to observe

AISummary

Lucas Beyer says 5- and 6-year-olds can narrate their raw reasoning aloud because they speak before they filter their thoughts. He describes their reasoning as full of random exploration, backtracking, and forgetting, with no more than 2-4 induction steps.

5 and 6 year old kids are awesome because you can monitor their raw unfiltered chain of though all the time. They are articulate enough to speak it out, but do not yet think about it first.

Sooo much random exploration, backtracking, forgetting. No more than 2-4 induction steps.
