Agents may take direct brain input as their next interface

AISummary

Rohan Paul says every computing era has had its own input, from keyboard to voice, and suggests agents may get theirs from the brain. He argues that when a model works on a user's behalf, the most useful input is the user's intent as directly as possible, with no loss to wording.

Every era of computing got its own input. Keyboard, mouse, touchscreen, voice.

Agents might get theirs from the brain. When the computer is a model doing work on your behalf, the most useful input is what you want, as directly as possible.

imagine handing an agent the whole idea in your head, with nothing lost to wording and no back-and-forth about what you meant.
