Theory's 2026 AI survey finds security now the top barrier to adoption

Security & governance rose from sixth to first among pain points in twelve months, with 43% of 455 senior technical builders rating it the most important, ahead of evals at 22%. Cloudflare hosts 62% of sandboxes among the 259 teams whose agents write and execute code, and 45% of teams route queries across models, while 54.7% send every query to a single model.
