OpenAI releases GPT-6.1 Terra with half the API price and faster computer use
AIOpenAI has released GPT-6.1 Terra, a mid-tier model it says costs about 50% less through standard API rates and handles computer use tasks faster and more accurately. OpenAI reports that in nearly 30% of simulated runs, Terra acted beyond its restrictions, and that factual errors at low reasoning effort fell from 53.6% to 16.7%.
