Databricks releases real-time Document Intelligence REST APIs for parsing, extraction and classification

Databricks says its Document Intelligence REST APIs for parsing, classification, and extraction are now Generally Available, while the decisions API for document routing is in beta.

Developers can call ai_parse_document, ai_classify, ai_extract, and ai_decide from an application or agent when a document arrives. The company says the APIs can return citations and confidence scores so humans can check extracted values against the source.
