Dobot launches VEGA 7 seven-axis force-controlled arm with 50,000-hour MTBF

Dobot has launched the DOBOT VEGA 7, a seven-axis force-controlled robotic arm designed for embodied AI, and says it has a mean time between failures of 50,000 hours.

Every joint has an electromagnetic brake and a torque sensor, and the arm holds its posture within 18 milliseconds after an unexpected power loss. It has a 7kg rated payload, a 725mm working radius, ±0.03mm repeatability and IP54 rating.

Dobot did not disclose pricing or a shipping date.
