Former Huawei Xiaoyi large-model head launches proactive physical AI startup

Tang Duyu, former head of Huawei's Xiaoyi multimodal large model, has founded Guanxing Shuzhi to build proactive physical AI systems that identify needs without explicit commands.

The company's ProAgent uses two models, a lightweight StreamingJev that flags when intervention is needed and a Response Model that plans the reply and selects devices.

Guanxing Shuzhi has also released ProactiveXBench, which evaluates timing, progress and outcome, and says its ProAgent model outperforms GPT-6 on intervention timeliness in some tests.
