UK CEOs credit AI for productivity gains but lack visibility into costs and ROI

Half of UK CEOs (50%) name AI as one of the three biggest contributors to productivity gains over the past year, according to an EY report. Only 14% have full real-time visibility over AI costs, and 32% say they cannot properly assess AI's ROI. Legacy systems (34%) and skills shortages, which 74% expect to worsen over three years, remain major blockers.
