Anthropic bans needless abusive or cruel behavior toward Claude

Anthropic has added a clause to its Usage Policy that prohibits sustained and needless abusive or cruel behavior toward its Claude models. The company says the update applies only to extreme cases of repeated cruelty with no discernible purpose, not ordinary frustration, pushback, dark creative themes, or model testing and research.
