Sapienz wins ISSTA 2026 Most Influential Paper Award for Android testing

ISSTA 2026 gave its Most Influential Paper Award to the 2016 paper on Sapienz, a multi-objective automated testing tool for Android apps. In its 1,000-app Google Play evaluation, Sapienz found 558 previously unknown crashes, and within 17 months Meta deployed it at scale. Meta says Sapienz now runs millions of tests daily and surfaces thousands of unique crashes each week.
