Rivet launches an open-source actor orchestrator for agents built on S3
AIRivet, a Y Combinator W23 startup, launches an open-source orchestrator for agentic workloads built on the actor model. The company says each Rivet Actor uses 72 KB of RAM and cold-starts in 4.99 ms at p99, compared with 512 MiB and 1.70 s for a sandbox, and that its SQLite storage on S3 is 10.4× cheaper than replicated SSDs.
