I posted to HN, and then my website was flooded with AI bot traffic

Sprinklz.io developer says a Hacker News post drove slow site performance, and logs showed nearly half of requests came from one user running an AI-summary service that repeatedly polled the site. The developer blocked that client, added robots.txt rules and rate limits, and says a majority of requests never ran the page's JavaScript.
