US bans DeepSeek technology across federal civilian agencies
AIThe US Department of Homeland Security has banned federal civilian agencies from using AI products from Chinese lab DeepSeek, according to the Wall Street Journal. Agencies must remove existing DeepSeek products and cannot buy new ones, and the order also covers affiliated companies and third-party services built with DeepSeek implementations.
