Huawei Ascend 950DT 1,024-NPU SuperPoD cluster goes live in Wuhan
AIA computing cluster built on Huawei's Ascend 950DT 1,024-card SuperPoD was switched on in Wuhan on October 28, at a Huawei AI conference for Hubei province. The cluster, funded by state-backed Hubei Science and Technology Investment Group, took one month from kickoff to power-on and delivers 1 EFLOPS of FP8 compute with 256TB of unified memory.
