Google app rolls out redesigned search bar with upload button, Nano Banana, and AI Mode

Google is rolling out a redesigned search bar in its app that adds a plus button for uploads and gives users access to Nano Banana and AI Mode, according to a post on X that points to Android Authority for screenshots of the new design.

The only source so far is that social media announcement, which relays the rollout claim and links to a report with images of the change. Details such as which users or regions are receiving the update, and whether the rollout is complete, are not established in the available reporting.
