Google Workspace adds Ask Gemini to Google Chat as a context-aware assistant

Google Workspace has launched Ask Gemini in Google Chat, an assistant powered by Workspace Intelligence that it describes as a context-aware command center.

According to Google Workspace's announcement on X, the feature can summarize updates, surface to-dos, search a team's knowledge base, and handle tasks such as scheduling and creating items.

The announcement is the only report so far, and it comes from Google Workspace itself, so the capabilities described are its own claims rather than independently verified performance. No availability conditions, pricing, or rollout limits were reported.
