## Summary

GitHub announces that Copilot is included with GitHub Enterprise for every licensed user, for enterprises working with a GitHub or Microsoft account team. AI usage is now metered from the first request against the enterprise budget, with no included usage allowance, and code completion and next edit suggestions keep working when the budget is exhausted. Users without an Enterprise license can get Copilot Standalone at $10 per user per month, and self-serve availability is not yet open.

## Why it matters

The change shifts Copilot cost management from seat counts to a metered enterprise budget, which affects how admins plan AI spending and access.
