## Summary

Google announced that schools using its K-12 software will lose Search access unless they opt in to AI tools such as Gemini. Senator Bernie Sanders and Lina Khan called the move coercive and anti-competitive. Google responded that Gemini, Gemini Notebook, and Search will now be off by default, letting schools turn each on individually.
