Google says Gemini API users on the Gemini 2.5 series should move, as Gemini 2.5 Pro is deprecated and redirected to 3.8 Flash on Dec 1, and Gemini 2.5 Flash to 3.5 Flash-Lite on the same date. Paige Bailey says Google's evals suggest 3.5 Flash-Lite and 3.8 Flash should have similar or stronger capabilities, latencies, and prices, and asks users to report otherwise.

Based on our evals, we're pretty confident that Flash-Lite and 3.8 Flash should have similar (or even stronger!!) capabilities, latencies, and pricepoints, but please let us know if you don't find that to be the case.
