The Association for Advancing Automation (A3) published ISO 21423:2026, an international standard for communications among industrial mobile robots from different vendors. The standard specifies how robots, fleet managers and other equipment exchange location, speed, status and task information. It covers communication with machines, ERP tools and building systems such as lifts and automated doors, and costs $373 from the A3 store, or $320 for members.
