## Summary

A South China Morning Post opinion piece argues that "SI" should stand for "self-intelligence" rather than superintelligence, the term Donald Trump has promoted. The author says the next challenge is moving AI from machine learning toward machine self-intelligence, meaning independently acquiring knowledge, deciding what to do and acting appropriately in unpredictable environments.
