Boston Dynamics has named Rohit Prasad, formerly senior vice president and head scientist for Alexa and artificial general intelligence at Amazon, as its new CEO, effective tomorrow.
He succeeds interim CEO Amanda McMaster, the company's CFO, who took over after Robert Playter stepped down in February.
Boston Dynamics said Prasad's appointment accelerates its physical AI strategy, combining robotics with advanced AI to commercialize intelligent machines at scale.
