Zyphra trained its ZAYA1-8B reasoning model from scratch on a full-stack AMD platform, according to AMD's post. VP of AI Engineering Quentin Anthony credits access to open software libraries and direct collaboration with AMD for enabling bigger model training and efficient compute use.
