Databricks rolls out frontier models to employees on Day 1 via Unity Gateway

Databricks says it aims to give its employees the best models on launch day, quickly adopting new releases such as Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Sol while tracking real-world usage and cost. Its AI engineering team uses Unity Gateway to manage access, spend, and model selection across thousands of employees, and to decide which models join its AI stack.
