## Summary

Sentient OS has launched an on-device AI that reads users' messages, files and notes overnight using a local LLM. Each night it writes what it learns into a folder of plain markdown files that users can open, edit or delete. During the day, Double Tap and Sidekick read those files to draft replies and finish tasks, calling a cloud model the user chooses only for heavier work.

## Why it matters

The post explains how Sentient OS stores overnight learning in plain markdown files and calls cloud models only for heavier tasks, showing a concrete local-first design.
