## Summary

DeepSeek is promoting Creator Mode, a setting in its free Harness agent app that writes, installs and tests plugins from plain-language descriptions. The feature has existed since August, and DeepSeek today released a demo video and the prompts behind its seven examples. Rohan Paul notes that Harness has 268.7K GitHub stars, but says the ecosystem grows only if generated plugins work beyond curated demos.

## Post

DeepSeek is promoting Creator Mode, that lets its open-source Harness agent build working plugins from plain-language requests.

Creator Mode is a setting inside DeepSeek Harness, DeepSeek’s free AI agent app, where you describe a tool you want (say, a timer or a video-editing panel) and the AI writes, installs and tests it as a new add-on inside the app.
The feature has existed since August; today DeepSeek released a demo video and the prompts behind its 7 examples.

Harness’s 268.7K GitHub stars supply potential plugin builders, yet the ecosystem grows only if generated plugins work beyond curated demos.
