AIKore.ai launched Autoloop, an optimization engine that automatically adjusts AI agents built on its Kore.ai Agent Platform to meet business-set goals, including after deployment. The engine scores each proposed change against goals such as task completion, business-rule adherence, accuracy and cost. Autoloop is available now to all customers on the Artemis edition of the Kore.ai Agent Platform.

AIAnthropic released Claude Haiku 5.5, a small model priced at about a quarter of Haiku 4.5's running cost. Anthropic also halved Sonnet 5.5 cache read prices from 20 cents to 10 cents per million tokens.

AIOpenAI says its GPT-6 models can generate visual, interactive answers in ChatGPT, such as charts, forms, and tappable buttons, when the model judges they help. Basic questions stay text-only, while users can request an interactive response at any time. The Intelligent UI is available now to Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers, with Free and Go users getting access the next day.

AIGoogle has launched SynthID Detector, a web-based tool anyone can use, after signing in with a Google, OpenAI or Apple account, to identify AI-generated images, video and audio. It detects content made with models from Google, OpenAI, Nvidia and Kakao that carries the SynthID watermark, and Apple Image Playground support is due within weeks. The tool misses content without a SynthID watermark, such as output from Anthropic's Claude, xAI's Grok and open-weights Chinese models, and it cannot tell which parts of edited content are AI-made.

AIApple is planning a late-October launch of its first touch-screen MacBook and a new iPad mini. The introduction would follow a revamped smart home strategy that Apple is set to unveil next week.

AIMicrosoft is selling the Surface Laptop Ultra, which starts at $2,599 and contains an Nvidia Blackwell RTX Spark GPU, with preorders open and shipping set for Oct. 16. The 15-inch laptop weighs 4.4 pounds, supports up to 128 gigabytes of unified memory, and offers up to one petaflop of computing power. Apps can route some AI coding requests to the local GPU or to the cloud.

Users can also build small tools such as a savings calculator or a game inside the chat. The rollout starts globally today for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users, with Free and Go users following one day later.

AIMeta has released its Muse AI assistant in a dedicated iPad app, one month after its September 8 launch on iOS and Android. Sensor Tower estimates Muse has topped 6.6 million installs, and the iPad release adds connectors for Asana, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, QuickBooks, GitHub, Klaviyo, Zoom, Notion, Granola, and Meta ad accounts.

AIMicrosoft revealed prices and specs for its Surface Laptop Ultra, built on Nvidia's RTX Spark chip, starting at $2,600 and designed to run AI models locally on the device. It also announced the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box, starting at $6,000 with developer tools, and a Windows 11 feature called Execution Containers for sandboxing AI agents, which will reach all Windows 11 users.

AIGoogle released Google AI Edge Foresight, a Mac app that captures meeting notes offline using the on-device EmbeddingGemma 2 model with 740 million parameters. The app offers split-screen shorthand and AI-generated notes, transcripts, and a Gemma 4-powered assistant that can answer questions from uploaded documents. Google's FAQ says it is optimized for Apple Silicon.

AIZach Yadegari, the teen co-founder of calorie tracking app Cal AI, has launched Persona, a personal AI assistant startup that has raised $10 million led by Vine Ventures. Persona will offer a $179 wearable band that activates via button or wrist flick, with the model running in the cloud rather than on the device. The band is expected in December, and Persona is currently a free beta available through iMessage.

AIGoodfire has launched monitors that read a model's internal signals during agent work instead of reviewing its written output. The monitors are available to Baseten customers, who can choose risks to watch and set automated responses. In Goodfire's tests on Kimi K3, monitoring about 1,500 sessions cost roughly $51 versus about $10,000 for a top-tier AI judge, while catching 94% of malicious hacking sessions.

AINatura's Interface is a $99 smart ring that lets users ask AI agents to complete tasks with a finger press and also tracks heart rate, HRV, sleep, and activity. At launch it connects with Meta's Muse, Instinct, Grok Bot, Claude, ChatGPT, and more, with preorders expected next month and shipping slated for December or January. After a three- to six-month free period, Natura plans to charge a $9 monthly subscription.

AIXiaomi released the MiMo-V2.5-TTS Series, three speech synthesis models for stock voices, voice design, and voice cloning. The models accept natural-language style instructions and inline audio tags, and the source says the three models are free of charge for a limited time on the Xiaomi MiMo API platform. Xiaomi also open-sourced integration Skills for agent applications on GitHub.

Why it matters: The release shows how a TTS family adds style instructions, inline audio tags, and voice design or cloning to speech synthesis, which matters for agent and creative workflows.

AILightOn OCR-3 is now available on OpenDocRouter at $0.28 per 1M input tokens and $1.40 per 1M output tokens, about $3.19 per 1k pages on ParseBench. On ParseBench, the author says it sits on the Pareto frontier for open-weight OCR models, with performance similar to Gemini 3.8 Flash low at roughly 45% lower price. It is described as decent at tables, workable for charts, and quite good at grounding.

AIDatabricks has released a public Beta of a Workday Data Connect federation connector for Unity Catalog, letting teams query Workday HR and finance data in place without copying it. Workday administrators share approved tables through Workday Data Cloud, and Databricks administrators create an OAuth connection and foreign catalog to govern access. The data is read-only, and Workday remains the system of record.

AIRowan Cheung shares four GrokBot routines enabled by its new native X monitoring, covering AI workflow discovery, brand mention tracking, prospect detection, and contact follow-ups. Each routine comes with a copy-paste prompt specifying schedules, search criteria, output formats, and Slack delivery. The routines are tailored for newsletter and marketing use cases, such as monitoring The Rundown's mentions and finding readers searching for AI newsletters.

AIAtomic Agent Desktop is a free open-source app for macOS, Windows, and Linux that runs open models like Qwen and Gemma locally without an account. It connects to a cloud model only when selected, and its Fusion feature lets a cloud model plan a task while up to 8 local agents carry it out. The post's own text adds a setup wizard that checks RAM and suggests suitable models, and import from Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, and OpenClaw.

AISpaceXAI's Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite ranks #17 on both AA-Video-T2V v2.0 leaderboards, ahead of Google's Veo 3.1 at about a third of its price. It is the fastest model at its quality level in Artificial Analysis benchmarks, with a median of 60.5 seconds for a 10-second 1080p clip, and it costs $0.14 per second at 1080p, 56% of Grok Imagine Video 1.5's $0.25 per second.

AIAnthropic has launched OSS Scanner, a free opt-in service that gives open-source projects periodic security scans by its strongest models, including Claude Mythos. The reports are fully model-generated without human review or triage, so they may be incorrect or invalid.

AIOpenAI's YouTube livestream presents three demos showing how Codex supports production monitoring. The demos cover tracing a checkout failure in Grafana, investigating a Kubernetes rollout causing out-of-memory restarts, and linking a Codex Security finding about a missing resource limit to service availability.

AICoreWeave launched Forge, a platform meant to help teams run, observe, evaluate and improve AI agents continuously through a five-stage loop. The offering includes Agent Lens, Registry, RL Rollouts, model distillation, and the AI Research and Iteration Agent (ARIA), which is now generally available. CoreWeave also introduced a partner network of tested, co-engineered integrations, according to Susanne Seitinger, vice president of product marketing.

AIMidjourney is testing a "Thinking Mode" on its Alpha website, where users can click "Rerun (Thinking)" in a job's lightbox to regenerate an image. The company says early tests show gains in prompt accuracy, typography, and coherence, and it is asking users to share feedback in its #ideas-and-features channel. It may later offer the mode broadly or as an option to add more thinking after a job.
